THE KENYAN GOSPEL MUSIC INDUSTRY – PART 4

 A great Revival is coming!!!

It has been a long hard journey with these four posts on the Gospel music industry. I can finally breathe a huge sigh of relief because I made it to the end. Allow me to first mention that you are not reading this by chance. This post has been completely inspired by the Holy Spirit, I am just a messenger. I got the revelation of all that I am about to write after my morning prayer a couple of days ago and I am so honored and happy to bring it forth to you. It has honestly been a long way coming with this series. Starting out was easy and I thought I knew exactly what I needed to write about, but somewhere along the way, I felt lost… I got redundant, boring, repetitive,and annoying. I think I even got a bit judgmental and discriminatory, but I believe the point still came across.

Enough of the bashing and hating, what I am about to write does not just apply to the Kenyan Gospel industry, but Gospel musicians and worship leaders the world over. The Gospel industry has some men and women parading themselves as God’s anointed, however, God is not glorified nor is He pleased by the shenanigans taking place in the name of worship and praise. They are people only concerned with getting famous and showcasing their talents yet their hearts are so far away from God. Isaiah 29: 13;

The Lord says:

“These people come near to me with their mouth
    and honor me with their lips,
    but their hearts are far from me.
Their worship of me
    is based on merely human rules they have been taught.

The good news is, a divine paradigm shift is just around the corner. There’s going to be a complete and total 180 degree change in worship and Gospel music, especially in our local churches. Christianity today is plagued with mediocrity and self-righteousness all part of the Devil’s plan to desensitize people on the supernatural power of the one and only true and Living God. But all this will come to an end following the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the people of the earth. Joel 2:28 says;

“And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.

God is raising up a new generation, a new breed of believers who will be part of His great army that demonstrating God’s power in winning souls for Christ. They will be yielding vessels spending more time reading the Word, praying and fasting than they do  writing their songs. We all know that the Bible authors were inspired by the Holy Spirit. These musicians and Worship leaders will have their lyrics inspired by the Holy Spirit. I look forward to a time when every gospel concert and worship experience will be full of God’s glory and power. That the crippled will walk, the deaf will hear, the blind will see and all demons cast out in gospel concerts and worship experiences. That a worship leader or musician will hold the microphone and the Holy Spirit will move the crowd into deep conviction and realization of how great God is.

A generation of spiritually mature, spiritually sound and fit believers is currently being stirred up to seek God earnestly and desire God’s will in every aspect of their lives. If you are or are aspiring to sing songs that glorify God, you are currently being stirred up and driven to a higher level, a level that only God’s anointed can tap into in the spiritual realm. Oh how I long to be a part of this movement! People only concerned with having God’s manifest presence in their concerts and not just singing all the songs in their albums. A great revival is coming that will sweep all the nations of the world. Aspire to be a part of it.

Blessings to you; much love from me,

Mumbua 🙂

  1. Wow this is so profound and so true. God is raising a people who will stand for truth and true worship. A fulfilment of what was spoken in the 70s about what God is about to do.
    Thank you so much. May God bless you and increase you.
